Support

Last updated 2026-10-14

Folio is a free project developed by one person. Source release planned. Support is offered as time allows; there is no guaranteed response time.

Before you report a problem

  1. Reload the tab. Most display and input glitches clear with a reload from the tab menu.
  2. Try Safe mode. Developer Tools > Modes > Safe disables Folio’s compatibility scripts and input adaptations. If the problem disappears in Safe mode, it is a Folio adaptation; if it stays, it is most likely Figma’s website or the network.
  3. Check Figma itself. If the same thing happens in Safari on the iPad, the cause is on Figma’s side. Figma’s own help is at help.figma.com.
  4. Check memory. Large files can exceed the memory an iPad gives a browser tab. Close other tabs or lower the tab retention cap in Settings > General > Memory.
  5. Read the guides. Start with getting started, input controls, keyboard shortcuts or troubleshooting. The guides are available on this website; source release is planned.

How to reach support

  • Bug reports and feature requests: use the operator’s public contact. A repository reporting route will be added after the source release.
  • Email: use the operator’s public contact.
  • Security vulnerabilities: do not post them publicly. Email the operator’s public contact.

What to include

  • Folio version and build (Developer Tools > About), iPad model and iPadOS version.
  • What you did, what you expected and what happened instead.
  • Whether it also happens in Safe mode and in Safari.
  • A diagnostic report, if relevant: Developer Tools > Overview > Copy diagnostics report. Reports are sanitised on the device and leave out file identifiers, titles, sign-in URLs and typed text. Check the pasted text before sending it anyway.

Do not send credentials, cookies, private Figma links or client content.

What support cannot do

  • Help with your Figma account, billing, plan limits or Figma’s features. Those belong to Figma.
  • Recover designs. Figma stores your files on Figma’s servers; Folio holds no copies.
  • Make Figma’s website do things it does not do in a browser.
